Hallie Cunningham, 94, of Burning Springs, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Dunbar Center, Dunbar, W.Va., of complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
Hallie was born on March 18, 1920 in Clay County, a daughter of the late Lanty P. and Laura Maude Rogers Mollohan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ray and a son, Jerry.
She was a member of Burning Springs United Methodist Church and was a member of the International Association of the Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by two daughters: Shelia, and her husband Larry, of Liberty, and Sonja, and her husband Alan, Artibise of Brownsville, Texas; son Joe, wife Alice Fay, of Elizabeth; sisters, Mabel Justice of Reedy and Bonnie Worstell, Pat of Marietta, Ohio; grandchildren, Lee, Mindy, Cheyenne, Ricky, Marnie and and Laura, whom she raised; and 16 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Hallie’s life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Busch-Kimes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Welch and Paul Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Beatty Cemetery, Burning Springs.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
