National Guard displays custom motorcycle

VIENNA – In conjunction with the relocation of the West Virginia Army National Guard recruiting office to the Grand Central Mall, the community branch of the military had a specially made motorcycle on display.

The custom designed bike was built by Orange County Choppers in 2007 and all parts pertain to the National Guard, said Sgt. 1st Class Robert Fitzgerald with the Guard.

Items located in the design include a list of the National Guard’s military conflicts since its founding in 1636 through to today’s wars on terror.

“It is here, in Wood County, because we are a community member-based organization and we want to get out in the community,” Fitzgerald said.
