Food giveaway to be held
Giveaway for food will be held at 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Church of Christ.
Will give taxable items for those in need from 9-11 a.m. at Pennsville United Methodist Church.
The following members, Terri Best, Cindy Wilson, Janet Suhoski, Cheryl Kirkbride and Dorothy Clark of Penn Modern Motors Club attended OCCL State Convention on Nov. 1 and 2 in Sugar Creek, Ohio. “Homespun Treasures” was the theme. They attended workshops on “Amish Heritage”, Cheese samples, decorating for the holidays”, holiday greeting cards, fairy gardens and enjoyed a delicious luncheon on Saturday served (family style). The speaker was Alice Hoover as Grandma Mary Martha Hollingsworth. It had great raffle drawings as one member came home with one. All enjoyed a great, fun-filled weekend.
Penn Modern Motors Club will meet at the home of Cecelia Dearth on Monday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. Co-hostess is Leslie Dunn. Program: Kevin Robison decorating for Christmas at the White House.
Robert, Sherri and Alex Maxwell and Pamela Mosier were at the home of James and Beverly Sealock on Saturday. They attended the Fish Fry at the Pennsville Firehouse.
Mike Yerian of Athens and niece, Heather Yerian of Athens spent the afternoon with Mike’s grandmother, Mary Yerian of Glouster, who had serious health problems Tuesday. He went grocery shopping and did yard work.
Nancy Jane Campbell of Ohio University visited with her grandmother on Wednesday. Gretchen Yerian of Newcomerstown came to her mother’s home and stayed until Sunday night. Mae Milhoan received word her niece, Heather Yerian of Athens, had serious health problems recently but will be taken care of in good time.
Rob Sidwell came home for the weekend and he and his mother attended two different ball games in Athens and returned to Kent State on Saturday.
Beverly and Rob Sidwell visited Mae Milhoan on Saturday and brought her supplies, food and vegetables.
