James S. “Jim” Reaser Jr., 75, of Cairo, Glendale Community, passed away Sept. 1, 2013, at the Memorial Campus of Camden Clark Medical Center, after several years of declining health.
He was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Glenville, W.Va., a son of the late James Stanley Reaser and Ruby (Shuman) Reaser, 91, of Harrisville.
Jim worked many jobs over the years, most notably as a milkman for Westfall Dairy. He finished his career as an over-the-road truck driver for J. B. Hunt. Jim spent the last four years at Care Haven in St. Marys, and leaves behind many friends and a wonderful staff.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is his loving wife, Louella (Harper) Reaser; son, David Reaser and his wife, Brice, of Glendale; daughter, Karen Harper and her husband, Steve, of Glendale; daughter, Debi Radabaugh and fiance, Bob, Graham of Morgantown; brother, Don Reaser and wife, Donna, of Lost Creek, W.Va.; and sister, Loretta Hopkins and her husband, Rod, of Parkersburg. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and Louella’s two sons and four grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Connie and Ralph “Tiny” Alkire.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Tom Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery, Glendale. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
