Tomblin’s creative accounting?

Shame on Gov. Tomblin. It’s pretty obvious he instructed his people to hold up income tax returns until the new fiscal year on July 1. Was this so he could report he had a balanced budget for 2012/2013 fiscal year?

Our return was in excess of 90 days (filed on March 23.) Today (July 1, the start of the new fiscal year) I have been assured it will be sent in “the next few days.”

How many other West Virginians have been denied the return to which they were entitled, and for which they have been waiting?

There’s a name for that; one of the nicer ones is called “creative accounting.” I can only repeat, shame on Gov. Tomblin.
