Angela Ruth Stuart and Matthew Jacob Hosken were united in marriage May 18 at the bride’s home church, the Bethel Worship Center in Tuppers Plains, with Rev. W. Otis Crockron Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas B. Stuart of Pomeroy.

The groom is the son of James N. and Debra Sue Hosken of Columbus and Tracy and Tina R. Fairchild of Albany, Ohio.

Tiffany A. Mytko of Rutland served as maid of honor.

James E. Peszlen of Columbus served as best man. Gary D. Horsley, Christopher M. Chelberg, Jacob E. Riffle and Garrett T. Riffle were ushers.

Crockron and his wife, Ivy, performed special music for the wedding, singing duets and solos.

Amy L. Stockwell of Houston, Texas, aunt of the bride, sang “We Shall Behold Him,” by Dottie Rambo. John M. Stuart, younger brother of the bride, provided audio services for the ceremony.

The wedding colors were silver and royal purple.

A seashell theme accented a flowing white and silver decor with purple petunias and orchids at the ceremony and at the reception, which was held at Middleport Church of Christ, the groom’s home church.

He is a graduate of Meigs High School and a May 2013 graduate of the University of Rio Grande with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in marketing.

A management intern and part-time employee of CVS Caremark Pharmacy in Gallipolis, he plans to transfer to Columbus in June to begin a full-time position in management training with CVS.

She is a graduate of Meigs High School. She attended Liberty University and is a 2012 honors graduate of the University of Rio Grande with a bachelor’s degree in business and professional communication. She was employed at OMS Healthcare in Clinton, Miss., and at Infocision Management in Gallipolis. She plans to work in corporate advertising and marketing in Columbus.

The bride and groom both participated in Rio Grande’s Welsh Student Exchange program, traveling with the group to Great Britain to study at the University of Wales Trinity St. David for fall semester 2010.

The couple enjoys singing and acting and each has been active over the years in school and community theater, performing with the River City Players, Ariel Players and the Riverby Theater Guild.

After a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Columbus.
