RIPLEY – An Ohio man being sought in connection with a bank robbery in Tuppers Plains, Ohio, was arrested Saturday in Jackson County, W.Va.

Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood reported Chad Rennicker, who is alleged to have robbed the Farmers Bank Branch in Tuppers Plains on Thursday, was arrested Saturday. Few details were available Sunday and a press conference was scheduled for today at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Ripley.

No further information was available on Rennicker’s status on Sunday.

According to earlier press releases from Wood’s office, officials were also interested in information about a female companion, Michaela Jean Fritz, who had been listed as a missing and endangered person out of Stark County, Ohio. She was also described as a person of interest in the bank robbery case, officials said.

No further details were available Sunday from officials regarding Fritz, but the West Virginia Regional Jail Authority’s website listed the 23-year-old as being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $10,000 bond out of Jackson County.

In making the arrest, Meigs County officials cited the assistance of authorities in Jackson County, Ripley, Ravenswood, Charleston and Kanawha County and Ohio officials in Belmont County, Perry Township, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and FBA agents in both states.
