Obama’s latest blame game

President Obama says, “I was unaware of that.” “I have no information on that.” “I learned of that when the press broke the story.” “The IRS is an independent agency.” “The Justice Department is an independent agency.” “Rush Limbaugh is the reason I can’t get anything passed.”

I learned a long time ago that, as the boss, you are allowed to delegate authority. But, you must never delegate responsibility. Own up, Mr. President.

Independent agencies? NASA and the USPS are examples of independent agencies. The Departments of Treasury and Justice fall under the Executive Branch. The president’s branch. I have news for him. They work for him. In light of that, please see the above rule on delegating responsibility.

As for Rush Limbaugh, I guess the shelf life ran out on “blame Bush,” so the president had to find a new whipping boy. What’s the problem with that decision? In making that claim, the president has admitted (and those that accept this excuse apparently agree) that a radio personality wields more power than the President of the United States.

We deserve better.
