‘Buddy’ Maston

Carl E. (Buddy) Maston, 80, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away Feb. 8, 2013, at his residence, with his wife and children by his side.

He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a son of the late Harvey and Mary (Crooks) Maston.

He was retired from Pittsburgh Process and Repair, and was a laborer with Laborers Union Local 1085. He enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, his grandchildren and family gatherings. In his earlier years, he enjoyed farming.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glada M. (Steele) Maston; eight children, Debbie (Gary) Seifert of Lancaster, Ohio, Carla (Jeff) Green of St. Marys, W.Va., Mike Maston of Little Hocking, Ohio, Tony (Tina) Maston of St. Marys, W.Va., Harvey (Peggy) Maston of Newell, W.Va., Lisa Riggs of Peterstown, W.Va., Missy (Bill) West of St. Marys, W.Va., and Amy (James) Kimball of St. Marys, W.Va.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Eileen Steele, Zora Straight, Ola Pinkerton, Ora Marshall and Louella Smith; one brother, Clyde (Odie) Maston; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Lorraine Greathouse, Pearl Malone, Edna Farson and Maxine Kelley; two half-sisters, Alicetene Brothers and Georgie Hendrickson; and one brother, Ralph Maston.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Housecalls Hospice.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastor Larry Davis officiating. Interment will be in Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, W.Va. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today, and from noon-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
