United Way Alliance Pacesetters Club climbing
VIENNA – United Way Alliance set an aggressive fundraising goal of $722,000 for the Mid-Ohio Valley in September 2012 for a network of health and human service agencies. They publicly recognize individuals that contribute $500 or more throughout its fall campaign. This group of donors, called The Pacesetters Club, provides the foundation upon which the rest of the community can build by recognizing the vital importance of personal giving at an exceptional level, United Way officials said.
Linda Bechtold McCormick, 2012-13 Pacesetter Club chairman, states, “It is enormously gratifying to witness the generosity of our citizens who continue to give at such an exemplary level and to welcome many new members of the Pacesetters Club. It is heartwarming to know that thousands in our community will be served through the generous contributions of the Pacesetters.”
Although there are some local businesses (both large and small) yet to report, there are 188 Pacesetter members who together have donated $238,525 to the United Way Alliance and its agencies..
“Your donation helps fund programs that build the very fabric of our community … strong youth, strong families and self-sufficient individuals,” states Joyce Mather, executive director of the United Way Alliance.
