Shirl Junior “Butch” Lipscomb, 60, of Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 15, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1952, in Wood County, a son of the late Shirley and Frances Moore Lipscomb. Butch was employed with the Salvation Army in the Warehouse for 15 years, and he liked working on cars.
Surviving are two sons, Shirl “Butchie” O’Brien of Parkersburg and James Albert Lipscomb of Roanoke, Va.; two grandchildren, Brooke Dawn O’Brien and Russell James O’Brien; one brother, Roger (Pat) Lipscomb of Belmont; and three sisters, Betty Leek, Johnnie B. Ferebbee and Mary Hodges, all of Parkersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lipscomb in 2007.
There will be a visitation with viewing from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, with a brief 7 p.m. service at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street, Parkersburg; Rev. Duane Porter will be speaking.
