Mr. William ‘Bill’ Jonathan Balsley

Mr. William “Bill” Jonathan Balsley, 66, of Franklin, Tenn., died Jan. 10, 2013.

Born Oct. 26, 1946, in Uniontown, Pa., he was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and West Virginia University (Go Mountaineers!).

He was the previous owner and director of the TV series “Fishing University,” and owner and director of Thirtys Film Productions.

He is survived by parents, Albert and Suzanne Daniel Balsley of Williamstown, W.Va.; wife, Janis A. Balsley of Franklin, Tenn.; son, Jon Ryan Balsley of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Karin Kathleen Balsley of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Gretchen Sue (Shean) McManus of Tampa, Fla.; stepchildren, Seth (Jamie) Grimenstein of Nashville, Tenn., and Erin (Marty) Rowland of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ella-Rose Rowland (his bowl of sugar) and Callie Mae Grimenstein; sister-in-law, Toni L. Stuart; and brother-in-law, William “Bill” Stuart Sr. of Moberly, Mo.

Memorial services were conducted Saturday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Franklin, Tenn., with Father Bill Midgett officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 615-794-2289.
